Well, after a slightly stressful trip, our dossier was received at the translators over night (that's Thursday during the day for them) so everything is progressing. We were slightly worried about our dossier because when FedEx originally tried to deliver it a week ago, the address AND phone number were incorrect. But, God is good and everything is taken care of now. We got the email this morning saying that the package was signed for. Phew... that definitely takes a load off.
We're trying to remember that this is all in God's timing. He's working everything out perfectly so that when we do travel OUR baby will be ready for us. The delays and everything are really difficult to swallow, but God keeps reminding us that we are His children and He's doing what's best for us.
So, you guys can keep praying. We'll try to keep you as updated as possible. Pray that the translation goes quickly and without an problems. One of the advantages to having it translated in Kaz is that it will then be notarized there, and then MUST be approved by the embassy in DC. It is really a blessing that our attorney was willing to send it over there. From what I understand, this is a relatively new thing as a result of the delay at the embassy and new restrictions they have put on their translators. Anyway, it's all a blessing and you can pray for our translator as she works on our dossier.
Thank you all so much for reading our posts and keeping us in your prayers.
Love,
Jon and Kristin

Little Update #2
Hi everyone. By now you've undoubtedly noticed that I've changed the security on this site, allowing only people we've invited to read this site. I've done this at the suggestion of our coordinator who said that Kaz is really picky about this sort of thing and doesn't want any info spread on the internet. SO, I'll continue to update periodically but you'll just need to be signed in and approved before you can read it.
We do have a little news on the paperwork front. We found out yesterday that our dossier is being sent to Kaz for translation right now. Usually translation is done in the US, but the backlog is huge right now, and our dossier would expire before it was even submitted, so the BBAS team has sent it over there where the turn around is MUCH faster. And, if it translated there the approval is also much faster. If everything keeps going at this rate we'll hopefully be able to travel before Christmas. That would be wonderful. I'm getting so anxious. ;-) But God is in control, and I am leaning fully on him.
Keep praying for us. We really covet those prayers, and I'll update again when some thing new comes to light.
Love always,
Jon and Kristin

Little Update
Hi everyone. It's been a while since we've updated, but we're currently in the "waiting" stage. Our paperwork is being processed right now, so all we can do is pray and wait for a phone call. ;-) We have been encouraged by alot of activity on our Fed Ex account. (That means our dossier is being moved around) But, we're not quite sure where it's going, or what that means in terms of a time line.
We want to thank you guys all so much for supporting us through this time. It's been a little trying, but it will all be worth it when our baby comes home. Please keep us in your prayers, and we'll update again when we have something to report.
Love,
Jon and Kristin
