Homestudy Almost Completed

Last Saturday, April 5, our social worker completed our third and final visit to our home. She had to ask us questions about our relationship and about the way we will raise our child. After this, we took her on a tour of our house so that she could do our home inspection. She came at about 9:00am and was gone by 9:35am.

Jack, our wonderful huge dog did a great job with her and she actually has a black lab herself, so she knows that they can be rambunctious, but are always loveable.

Right now, we are presently waiting for our social worker to type-up our homestudy documents so they can be approved and sent to us. Once they are sent to us, she says in about two weeks, we can send the completed homestudy to US Immigration to approve our petition to adopt. Once this is completed, we can submit our dossier and play the waiting game until we receive our phone call.

God has opened every door and we're SO excited to watch Him work. Please begin praying now for our baby! Pray that God would bless him/her and help him/her receive the attention and love that he/she need. Pray that God's timing would be perfect and that his will would be done when it comes to the timing of our adoption. Also, continue to pray for me, Jon that I would be sensitive to Kristin's needs during this time and that I would be the spriritual leader in our home that God wants me to be. Pray for Kristin that God would grant her peace, and comfort while she waits, knowing full well that our baby could be alive right now not receiving the attention and love that he or she needs.
